Short term effects for students and teachers of this project are:

  • implementation of EU topics in regular classes

  • implementation of innovative teaching methods among out-dated regular classes

  • design and professional evaluation of a set of EU based modules

  • school receives financial resources to implement EU based innovative teaching sessions

  • better learning results about the EU and strengthening of critical thinking on EU of students

  • systematisation of how to teach EU subjects in a multi-disciplinary way

  • as this is a new fashionable optional course students will be highly motivated to participate actively

  • EU school coordinators and teachers gain more experience in project management and Jean Monnet initiatives

  • design, implementation of evaluation, monitoring and planning tools for courses

Medium term effects

  • increase of students’ and teachers’ motivation and interest to participate in EU activities

  • increase of the number of participants in this course

  • raise of other teachers’ interest in this course

  • raise of teachers’ and students’ professional knowledge and skills in relation to EU

  • raise of EU literacy of students and teachers

  • increase of digitalisation at school and safe and professional use of digital devices and programs

  • increased opportunities for teaching staff in terms of professional development and challenges

  • expansion of schools’, teachers’ and students’ network in relation to the EU

  • increase of experience in dealing with EU, Erasmus+, Jean Monnet projects

  • sharing of project experience with regional school authority and Austrian National Erasmus+ Agency

  • Curriculum Enhancement: immediate impact may be seen in the integration of EU-related content into the school's curriculum. Teachers may incorporate new materials, case studies, and discussions related to European Union studies into their lessons.

  • increased visibility of STEM subjects at school and in public.

Long term effects

  • change of teaching methods among teachers

  • implementation of the modules from this project in regular curriculum in higher grades

  • participation of all upper-grade students in these classes

  • flexible employment of different teachers who can use the modules which are evaluated and specifically designed for the school’s needs

  • intensify and implement the schools EU strategy at school

  • harmonisation of schools’ development plan with schools’ EU strategy, Erasmus+ and Jean Monnet activities transfer of stakeholders’ experience and expertise of this project to other schools in the region, Austria and Europe
